The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
